Has OCRing technology improved since I last looked. If not, proofing for 'typos'
might require person-years. Could make it a group project maybe, dividing the books
up into ten-page segments. A virtually error-free Finnegans Wake is out there
and finding things is a snap. It's in straight text and WordPerfect 5.1 form. United Staters aren't supposed to download it but the honor system is used. In any event working remotely is fine. Some publishers are lenient if the purpose is scholarly use. Love the idea of machine-readable P, though some of the mystery would be removed.
