Just got back and am still reading through the latest offerings. First
things first, however: Mike Weaver has been having trouble galore sending
anything to the list [all his messages just keep bouning back], so he's
asked me to pass this on to our general delection and enlightenment [last
comment mine].

I sent this info to the list a couple of months ago but repetition is no
crime.
Emmett Grogan was the main 'name' of the Diggers. Wrote an
'autobiography' - talking of self mythologising - but the third section of
_Ringolevio_ is an excellent view of the whole Haight Ashbury scene, from a
less rose tinted (or jaded) angle than has often been the case. Don't know
if it's still available but definitely worth hunting down if you're
interested in understanding some of the energy which generated the sixties
mythology.
. I've a Penguin collection of radical ephemera called _BAMN (By Any
Means Necessary) Outlaw manifestos_ which has a few reproductions of
Digger's writings. I'm told that there is a CD Rom available of sixties
ephemera which has a selection of the Digger's material on it. I'll find
out the title if anyone wants to know.

Cheerio for now
Mike
PS can anyone identify the source of the quote below?

                          vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
As he said as he fell past the twenty third floor
"So far so good, so far so good" - ???
                        ^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
