Paul Mackin claims:

Don't buy this for a second.  Think of so much of Blake, for instance.  Or,
closer to home, in time and space, there's this little Ammons poem dear to
my heart which goes like this

Sometimes I feel so small
If you say boo
I disappear.

Now, the thing you don't see from what I've just quoted is that Ammons is
also capable of creating the semantically and syntactically most complex
kind of poetry imaginable; hard work reading some of his stuff.  Repugnant?
Never.  Compelling?  To no end.
