Male & female daily tribulations

A very wry song by Squeeze--title forgotten, but I'll search it
out later--is told from the POV of a man shaving, contemplating his 
wife's/lover's period, and wondering if daily shaving is in any
way comparable.  As a confirmed stubble-ite who dreads tearing his 
face up, but yet doesn't care for a full beard, I empathize!
