Earth's orbit is the third most circular one in the solar system (after Neptune's and Venus's). Its eccentricity is .0167, which is so close to circular that not even the most discriminating eye would perceive its elliptic nature while viewing it from the axis of its orbit.

>the sun?  Am I confusing this with some other stuff --  or is it the case
