MDMD(Part1) Who is Rebekah Mason?

And that what? Betray her for what?

I took 'betray' (here and elsewhere in connection with Rebekah) to mean
reveal her presense to others besides Mason.  M might like to have the ear
intervene in granting his wish (her physical return)  but he will not betray her again as he did to Dixon and possibly to others I don't remember.. Will have to reread to
see if this stands up.

Some of  the passages about Rebekah seem to be Pynchon at his
most stonedness. We may never make much literal sense of them.
