A few comments about some bits in what rj wrote on 12/6/98:

Perhaps not unlike the Whole Sick Crew in _V._ , which I don't have handy.
If I did I'd quote the section about their abstract artiness that ends with
a comment about their day jobs, and that most of their theories could be
found in _Time_ magazine.

and later

Except it wasn't some surfer's house, it was Rex Snuvvle's, who actually
seemed to know something about the Vietnam war -- perhaps a extreme view,
but certainly different from the conventional dogma.

and then

They demolish him in one way, yet seem to agree about his sexual charisma
and that they were both willing to put up with for the moments when he was
all business.
