I may just bother you all with these random thoughts, which may also be
useless. But, hey, Brock and Zoyd and Frenesi and Prairie and DL all want a
free country, don't they.
Re the glass harmonica, or glass armonica. It was quite popular in the late
1800s and marketed as something every family should have, like a piano. Of
course, when the lead poisoning problem was discovered, the ga went the way of
all flesh. However, one of my all time heartbeat divas from s, d, and r&r,
Linda Ronstadt, has two cuts on her album "Winter Light" featuring the glass
armonica. Worth a listen. The sound is quite pure, although the instrument is
deadly. Hm, makes me think of...but I digress. Please note she also has an
album of Spanish songs entitled "Frenesi," which makes me wonder...but, I
digress.
Re little nips at the Establishment. A fine tradition of the 60s and 70s.
Little personal acts of protest make a revolution more fun. it also keeps them
wondering if you are serious.
Re recording the revolution. Read Trotsky's "History of the Russian
Revolution." Talk about literary propaganda and damn good writing. It ids a
real treat. Makes you feel like there were many true believers at the
beginning of that one, too. Then came the deluge.
Go figure.
