Just a little splinter off part of Dan's post, others
will probably think of many contemporary artists in whom the cybernetic
desire trope is fully fleshed (as it were) out; off the top though,
it's interesting to realize that Frank Zappa draws upon the same idea throughout his
music--from the industrial vacuum cleaner Moterhead nuzzles in_200 Motels_
to the plot line of the magnificent _Joe's Garage_where cybersex
with a gay robot that looks like a magical pig (hmmmmmmm)
with marital aids stuck all over it
gets Joe thrown in jail.

Listen to the love song where Joe croons for cybersex. Then send a copy of
this song to the Prez. He'll get it.
