Regarding the many mentions of spirits and "realms beyond" what I meant to
suggest was that this might lend another underlying structure to the book and
another level of insight to the characters and their motivations. Whether P.
believes in this is irrelevant. He has certainly had something to say about
the "transcendent" ever since COL49 and other levels of meaning beyond whay we
think we comprehend as our "ordinary" existence.
I was hoping somebody else who had noticed this might want to post their
understanding of these "messages not quite apprehended".
