Further Proof of the Evil Nature of D.F.W.

I would not say that DFW was evil. I would actually say, given insights and
the general tone that he provides in IJ, that he is geniunely quite the
opposite. He obviously had his reasons (though unbeknownst to us) for the
Kate Gompert thing. Personally, I found IJ fairly astonishingly good, and
quite the opposite of boring. Though he's often been touted as Pynchon-esque,
something he's emphatically stated that bugs him, I find the similarities only
fairly surface level. Not that I claim to be a Pynchon expert, I just love
what I have read by him (haven't yet read GR or M&D, but have read V., COL 49,
and VL. God I love acronyms).
Sorry if this is often-trod territory; I'm new to the list and just wanted to
respond to the couple of recent posts, as I recently also finished IJ.
