Don't know about the 70's, but I got the 1993 NBC miniseries _Thomas
Pynchon's Vineland_ starring Ted Danson, Mercedes Ruel (sp?), and special
guest Steven Segal as Brock Vond and Takeshi Fumimoto. (So you Know the
book must have sucked.)
