Sure Doug's made some intelligent comments around here, but I really have to ask him: Why do you have to be such a List Nazi, man? It's such a drag. Like Frankie says, RELAX. The other thing, Doug, is that you've blatantly plagiarized MY original insight that Kurt W. and Slamming Steve were/are the same person, which I deserve extra credit, extra recess, a gold star, and (of course) a frookie for realizing first. In fact, I went a step farther and suggested those luminaries were actually the vindictive Hop Frog (aka, DFW, aka Satan, aka Celine Dion--I mean, have you ever seen Celine Dion and DFW in the same place?! Have you?!!) Though I'm not posting anon, I don't see what your major malfunction with people doing that is exactly, DOUG. It was okay for Kierkegaard, wasn't it? Maybe some people don't want the same black helicopters flying over your house flying over theirs.
  For the record, it is an objective and irrefutable fact that DFW sux. There's no point arguing about this anymore, folks. The person who only read 1/10 of IJ is the only really smart one around here because not only are the first 110 pages more than representative of the dross that follows, but in the time it took P. to wade through that shitstorm TWICE (egads, P., what the hell were you thinking??), you could probably read all of Lorrie Moore and Mark Richard and David Preston and sundry others who at least seem to have editors.
