Here's a synopsis of the article in the Globe and Mail (Saturday, December
12).  You can forward this message to the p-list, with a hello from me, if
you think the boys and girls would be interested.  "Novelist Visits
Pynchonland:"  Matthew Remski's scatalogical, sexual novel, Silver,
introduces us to his protagonist Tyrone Pynchon and makes no secret of
being a Pynchon fan.  So we can expect a phantasmagoria of styles,
subjects and bizarre goings on.  In Silver, Remski attempts to show how
some of the major events of the 20th century have affected the world
negatively (a "duh?" from dana here)....Using photography and film (and
their dependence on silver) as his motif, Remski moves us from Nazi
Germany to corporate U.S., with very little good to be seen.  Tyrone
Pynchon is a correspondent for a U.S. magazine.
The cover blurb says that Canadian Remski, since writing the novel, has
foresworn literature and become a student of Tibetan Buddhism.
