Help! Who cares?

Dear listers,

I know it's totally in conflict with list etiquette, nevertheless I solicit
your help.
I am currently wrapping up my thesis on M&D and can't find a reference that
I found crucial enough to spend some fruitless hours looking for, and now
it's gotten to the point where, for the sake of these hours, for the sake
of (failure of) perfect return, I need that f*****g quote.

It goes something like this:

M: ...I don't know

D: You don't know? What about care? Don't you care?

I am pretty sure it was in conjunction with slavery, but it's not in the
Dixon whupping the slave driver section.

Who has her/his notes better organized than me?
Help greatly appreciated!!
