VLVL 24fps mission

The 24fps mission of exposing the face of hypocrisy reminds me of the
show _American Pictures_. A European (Danish?) fellow taking a quick
swing through the US on his way from Canada to Mexico wrote home about
the conditions under which people were living. They said 'no way' and
sent him a camera. Several years later after hitching all over this great
land of ours he put together a six-hour slide show. I saw it at the
American Pictures Theatre or something like that. I heard it was later
turned into a (shorter) movie.
I particularly remember a scene with Mrs. Pabst (of PBR fame) standing by
the pool with about two pounds of gold on her talking (through the
narrator) about the workers in her brewery and how far beneath her they
were.
