Earth against Words

"The girls has the last word."

"Marriage?"

Songs, silence, stenography, words, breath, light. dark,
unspoken, blindness, deafness, changed to children, baby,
earth, be born, or a heart heavy with age and eyes that will
shut only when you sleep.

I'm beginning to see the light.

The singer sings that he has come from the edge of the
world. Pynchon likes these edge of the world travelers, like
Stig in M&D and others. He's come from the lungs of the
wind. Cool. In the beginning of this chapter we get:

"The silence hear are retreats of sound, like the retreat
of the surf before a tidal wave: sound draining away, down
slopes of acoustic passage, to gather, someplace else, to a
great surge of noise. Cows..."

Kinda reminds me of when Dixon and Mason come in to port.

This thing the singer sings of is awesome and cannot be sung
by even Dzambul. Awesome! With the "thing" he comes also
with fear. Fear of what? The thing or what? "Fear of god"?
I think the first 6 lines are some sort of intro. and then a
tale--oral tradition, song. SONGSONIC! "In the ancient
tales it is told" then the firsts qobyz and the first song
and a place of the KLight, "where words are unknown." God,
black rock and final days. Then the ifs but it is a Light
and there is no other way to know it and it changes you,
blinds you, changes you to a baby and so even this song is
baby gaga and he gives directions to the black rock, but if
you would not be Born, then stay with your wife and your
tent and your heart will grow heavy with age and your eyes
will shut Only when you sleep.

I want to be born, but Tchitcherine always reminds me of
other born agains.
