Well, "God Knows" is one of Heller's best. Almost autobiographical, me 
thinks. To be the dying king, to see your sons fight for the inheritance, to 
wonder what the whole long strange trip has been about anyway, to beseech an 
answer to the things you simply can't understand, to feel the fire down below 
one more time, to recognize true love once before you die--that's a good 
write and read. But, I digress...It simply cannot be left on the list of his 
legacy.
