A plague on both my houses

I have never heard of a crime that I should be incapable of committing, said
Goethe. Would Nero, the emperor with a great artist's ambition have become a
bloodthirsty rascal or Hitler a genocidal maniac if they had possessed the
artist's formative power? The marionette is envious of the spirit that
inspires the artist's work throughout A spirit like that of nature is, which
moves the world about. The spirit 'tis a flame that glows amidst
conceptions, inspirations fit. Nostalgic of something eternal, something
more than wit. Itself unseen, yet all things by it shown, describing all men
but described by none. Where does it dwell? What portion of the brain can
such a vast and mighty spirit within its girth contain? Not in the puppet
master's brain Sir. No, for he is a barbarian and savage intellect, his
brain pregnant with shame and mischief which the interest of his limited
capacities and the passions of a mean contest overwhelm. His passions are
bereft of the spirit, deprived of the best principles of humanity and
kindness. It is the practice of the ostensibly partisan puppets to accuse
their enemies of censure or some breach of egalitarian discourse. Snipping
the strings and witnessing the fall of a haughty and ambitious puppet is a
mockery of the civility they advocate. Civilities as false as the names they
dig out of the archives and resuscitate with foul and quarrelsome breath.
These accusations Sir, are yours,
RJax Maxim
