"Ailing Newborn Getting Engineered Skin" -- An 8-week-old girl with a
potentially fatal skin disease that causes severe blistering with the
slightest touch has received a patch of bio-engineered skin.  She is the
first person to receive the faux skin, called Apligraf, for a purpose other
than healing wounds or for venous leg ulcers.  Chicago Tribune, 1/12, sec.
