I don't know if it's been cited already, but I just ran across the term KA
used by Pynchon in his introduction to Farina's BDSLILLUTM from Spermatikos
Logos. (http://rpg.net/quail/libyrinth/pynchon/pynchon.paper.farina.html)
Here he's describing the main character of the novel, Gnossos, who TRP
sees as Farina during their college years together @ Cornell:
"Gnossos himself is not Mr. Perfect, by any stretch. He has a short temper
and a low tolerance for organized religion, national mythologies,
incompetence, resignation, anybody from the American South, racist or not
-- the list of resentments goes on. He is susceptible to the thrill of
vendetta or karmic adjustment, an impulse I suspect isn't entirely absent
from why Farina wrote the novel. "
