I've got to locate that. The man I remember was a rather dapper fiftyish 
balding man, slighty swarthy, who wore prominent glasses, generally wore
dark, possibly pin-stripped, suits and often a bow tie. This was the
seventies. I do seem also to remember that the Trevanian books I recall
looking at never DESCRIBED  the author, as is often done.
