Pynchon and Autobiography

I fully agree with "davemarc" on Phynchon's "sort of" autobiography.  
If we read his fiction carefully we are able to put together, (however 
abstract) a picture of the author.  Of course, there is his intro 
ductions to his collection of short stories; SLOW LEARNER, and to 
Richard Farina's BEEN DOWN SO LONG IT LOOKS LIKE UP TO ME, which are 
wonderful glimpses into Pynchon's life.
