Owner Of Literarati Hang-Out Where P Wrote "V" Dies

I admit that it is rather easy to envision TRP hanging out in the Blue
Moon, though today it certainly fits better the biker bar definition rather
than being any literati nexus (one would likely be able to find Benny and
Bodine hanging out there still). However, as Mr. David's obituary does not
mention Pynchon, I am curious how it's known that he did hang out there?

For the bar stool etymologist: the Blue Moon takes its name from
Washington State's Blue Laws, which, while still in effect after
Prohibition, forbade the serving of alcohol within a mile of state
universities. The Blue Moon -- before its expansion to the east -- sat
exactly a mile and one foot from what was then the west edge of the
University of Washington campus.

Fact or fiction, it's a nice idea that Pynchon drank there during his
Boeing years. I'll stop in tomorrow and tip one back for him.
