Doug's suggestion of Frenesi as some kind of media symbol doesn't seem
that farfetched. I'm not thinking of 24fsp. Rather, in every aspect of
life there are the leaders and the followers. The media is in the
leadership, leading us us to places we would otherwise never go. In
reality the media creates places to go. Frenesi by dint of her glamour
and seeming dedication is clearly leadership. The problem is that in
political movements and parties it is the lead people who ultimately
make deals (for tactical, strategic or other reasons) with those elements
the followers had originally been urged to view as the enemy. I believe
Charles touched on this a week or so ago in connection with Fren's parents
as union organizers if I understood him right.

Incidently, I don't see individuals working in the media as any worse on
average than people working in any other job.

Also by the way in connection with the media, for conspiracy theorists,
there was quite an extensive piece on the front page of the NY Times
yesterday tracing connections between various people involved in the
vendetta against the President, the Paula Jones case, the Ken Starr
investigation, and the Impeachment. No question in my mind that Hilary was
right. Whether one likes Bill or not.
