Thanks, Paul, for clarifying your post(s).  And here's the other thing about
these women:  there's something very seductive, for this chick, in F and
DL's lifestyles, their choices.  To be able to live life on one's own
terms--Doug's suggestion, I think--is very appealing to those of us who
don't, or rather, those of us who ascribe to our prescribed social and
gender roles.  I don't know about anyone else, but I remember thinking that
photo of Patty Hearst with the firearm, in fatigues, in front of the SLA
logo was pretty damn sexy.  A chick with a rifle?  Robbing banks?  On one
hand, to this Catholic girl, that was just too cool.
