Frenesi can't relate to her own daughter.  She's betrayed everything she ever
stood for.  She's transferred her existence to another marriage with a son
(does love exist here?), but now even that existence is relegated to the white
noise of a Tube that hums unheeded in the background save the titillation of
an occasional CHiPs episode.
