yeah - a truck collided with his jeep. but the details and circumstances
surrounding the mishap are somewhat murky; and there are still those who feel
that it wasn't an accident. Patton was in a lot of hot water at the time, as you
might recall, for his call to re-arm the Germans immediately in order to invade
the Soviet Union. the powers that be weren't sure what to do about him now that
WWII was over.

anyways, sorry - i should have qualified my remark about Patton being
assassinated with a (?) or a "perhaps" since it is not offical history.

btw, ever read 'Through A Glass, Darkly'?
