   Well, clang is "Klang", pretty much the same. "Himmel" is here the short form 
   of "Gütiger Himmel!" (- about "Kind-hearted Heaven!"), a phrase used to 
   express astonishment. Note also that in German "Himmel" means both, - heaven 
   & sky. "Sky fits Heaven, so fly it ...".
