I don't think you have to dig very deep in Pokler's story -- to name one
obvious source in GR -- to see Pynchon indicting the Nazis for the crime of
reducing human beings to mere expendable production factors in the race to
build the A4. Responding to Pynchon's narrative as Terrance does ("Pynchon
insists that humans not be put on the scale") does not add something to the
text that TRP hasn't put there in the first place. TRP makes this point
painfully obvious.
