Thank you for the apology on the use of "nonsense." I figured for a better
plister than that. Reasonable folks can disagree and neither be wrong. I'm
also glad I'm a little slow on the response, as I'd prepared one a bit
nastier about "nonsense." Little did I realize my brief uncloaking would
generate this much discussion. Should know better. Again, the debate is great
and I learn from you all every day.
Please don't confuse this with the body/soul/spirit/whatever issue. The
classical rhetoricians might disagree with you about the digestive vs.
memory/data storage function of the brain.
Mr. Morris, I appreciate your clarification and elaboration. As for our minds
being still independent, well, how 'bout dat www and Internet?
Before I go, a bit of wit from witcity relating to M&D:
CLEARLY, THE PATH TO PEACE IS RIDDLED WITH COMPLEX
OBSTACLES - A group of Kosovo Albanians is demanding that
a dog adopted by U.N. police as a mascot be euthanized because they say
it is Serb. Asked about the brewing controversy, the dog said, "It's
amazing to me that the Kosovars are focusing on my lineage, and not the
fact that I'm apparently a talking dog."
