Doormen make me nervous.  They are so anachronous, and those uniforms are so 
silly.  Don't they feel stupid?  Aren't they deep down resentful for their 
lot?  Is one expected to say "Hi" or to ask their names.  And how is one to 
know the proper tip for Xmas?

Electric door-openers are so simple.
