Prosthetic Paradise

Doesn't Pynchon's literature raise issues concerning what he sees as an
inevitable merging of humanity and technology. What he played with in
V.--with, say, the prosthetics and dummies--he has returned to in his
essays. Isn't the Luddite essay the one that ends with the forecast about
the fusion of computer technology with human molecular biology, with
mentions of Frankenstein along the way? He sees this as pretty much a fait
accompli, as far as I can tell.
