Hello all; I am reading Jose Lezama Lima's poetic novel _Paradiso_
& I was wondering if anyone was aware of any English language
criticism/commentary?
Cheers, Keith

"Irony is the first sign that conciousness has become conscious. And irony
passes through two stages: the stage marked by Socrates when he says, 'I
only know that I know nothing', and the stage marked by Sanches, when he
says, 'I don't even know if I know nothing.' The first step of awareness
leads to where we dogmatically doubt ourselves...The second step leads to
where we doubt both ourselves and our doubt."
