hmmmm i can only guess. my guess:
since dom noc there "doesn't seem to care for mass slaughter as much as myth" 
(234) pudding has her be the subject of the soldiers song rather than their 
taking of badajoz....a book end to roger mexico's war mother. a wild 
stab..but what the hell. perhaps there is an inverted bride image reference 
here but i'm not getting it.
