Wow -- that's right! All along I had been thinking in terms of David's
rephrasing (which seems to make more sense) -- never took the time to actually
parse the sentence. Cause the above formulation (which, granted, is the meaning
of "The innocence of the creatures is in inverse proportion to the immorality
of the Master") doesn't seem to make any sense in the context. Does it?
