Thank you Derek, by why attack me personally. Calling me
Bennett is a real insult. 
My rhetoric needed tempering and I appreciate it, though we
have different experiences and different points of view, we
both agree that the student is more important than politics.
My diatribe was a reaction to the same old thing I here
again and again, this author was a this or that and can be
dismissed. Heidegger/Nazi, Freud/Addict, so on, and so on,
and while students have always done this, it is more
prevalent today. The reasons for this have more to do with
the changes you note in education's growth, and I don't want
to limit its growth in any way, but increase it, but I think
balance must be stressed over politics.
