... is what you call it when it takes much, much, much more ale to get you nice
and drunk than it used to due to excessive and over-frequent ale-consumption,
no?

speaking of which... is there anyone (else) interested in attending or throwing
a pynchonaliac bash anytime before the millenium is over?

a (whole sick) costume party would be awesome. rocketmen, sea-men, were-beavers,
talking dogs, giant adenoids, angels, femme fatales, octopi, fungi, usssw... it
would make those star trek kling-on conventions look like a mainstream church
session. (and also, of course, the costumes would allow those of us who consider
ourselves "isolates" to remain so as well as keep those who love to hate each
other so much apart from one another's throats).

eg, there seem to be several of p-listers in (well, around) the SF bay. would
there be any interest in  descending upon some santa cruz, monterey, los gatos,
palo alto, san francisco, or berkeley ale-house somewhere some weekend for some
ale some time?
