POMO MO and Curly

No note of irony amidst a discussion of the possible facism in modernism
and using 'IS' to proscribe greatness to a person none of us met?

"The vain quarrel over Heidegger has no philosophical significance of it's
own; it is merely symptomatic of a weakness of present-day thought, which,
being unable to find any new impetus, returns obsessionally to it's
reference points; and now, as the end of the century approaches, painfully
relives its primal scene, which dates from the century's early years."

-Jean Baudrillard

Tis neither here nor there to me who or what Heidegger really was. I
freely admit that he is a vital part of the great western tradition of
philosophical reasoning. One, and this may only be over libations among
friends apparantly, could consider how much support Heidegger might sway
towards Buchanan's camp if he was alive and American right now.
