Are you sure you don't mean the Chapman Stick or the Warr Guitar? 
Because in the "Moby Dick" program notes, Laurie Anderson said that 
she recently invented the "Talking Stick" with the help of Interval 
Research. Also, I've never seen KC use an instrument like that -- but 
then again, the Belew/Anderson angle. . . .
