The Chapman Stick is a sort of bass-guitar like thing made famous by
Tony Levin and Trey Gunn. A friend of mine plays one, and he could
probably explain it better than I could, and would certainly be
squirming if he knew I was comparing it to a bass. But that's what it
sounds like to me, a slap-happy bass. It also makes Tony Levin look
scary. I'm afraid of Tony Levin.
The Chapstick is played by Suzie Chapstick, who apparently skies a
lot, from what I remember. I'm not afraid of her.
The Slapstick was once played by Charlie Chaplin, who seems to have
no connection with any of the above. I am, however, afraid of Robert
Downey, Jr.
This brings me to the weird coincidence that Chapman and Kaplan both
shot Lennon and Lenin, respectively. No sticks were involved.

No, but I think the Warr Guitar is very similar. Maybe. But then
again, I've seen Adrian Belew turn an electric screwdriver against
his strings and make some pretty weird noises, so it's always hard to
tell what is what during a Thrak attack.
Back to the regularly scheduled wacky PoMo hijinks!
