----------
(241.23) Proverbs for Paranoids, 2: The innocence of the creatures is in
inverse proportion to the immorality of the Master.
----------
"Innocence" here means "to be out of the loop," not knowing about the Evil.
Ignorance is Innocence, but it is not Bliss. The more "in the image of
God," the Master, the less is His immorality. When the creature is left
innocent, the God is immoral. There is a reverse-reverse morality going on
here.
What is important is to note the difference between the words "Master" and
"God/Creator," which is implied by the proverb. "Master" is the one in
control, as in S&M lingo:
Master = the One in Control
Thus PFP#2 could be rephrased:
"The more innocent the creature being controlled, the more immoral the
Master." Slothrop was controlled as an infant, all innocence...
