Dear Mark
Three points:
1 Your first post, in which you found yourself "bemused" and quoted my
words out of context, was what inspired my response. I'm not, and
wasn't, "riled", and my reply to you included a request for
clarification and several points of agreement, as well as rebuttal.
2 The instruction to "Relax" is the one I found condescending, though
perhaps it is common enough idiomatically in the US for my response to
it to be an overreaction.
3 Are critics not readers (and vice versa)?
