It's always a terrible sad thing when somebody 
belongs to a religion other than one's own . . .
or else *does* belong to a religion when one 
doesn't, or doesn't when one does . . .  Even I,
a horrible example of free thought, have felt 
deep compassion for those who don't believe in
what I don't believe in either, but for the 
wrong reasons.
