life after Lot49?

It partly depends on how much of a commitment you wish to make.  _V_ would 
seem to me a logical next step because:

1. It is "next."
2. It's much shorter than GR.
3. It contains many of the themes to be developed later in GR.
4. It's a wonderful book.
