 Kabbalistically, the 3 is related to Binah (- the Virgin Mary, Saturn & the 
 Lake at the Pyramid) and the 6 to Tiferet (- Jesus Christ, the Sun, the Rose & 
 the Cross). The path between them, which leads across the Abyss and from the  
 Heart to the right side of your head) is related to the tarot card "The  
 Lovers". Count together & you have 9. This is the number of the Sefirah named  
 Yesod. Some correspondences are: The pelvis, the moon, Isis & the color purple. 
 And it's all there. In the hour of the witch, "the suite is washed in 
 moonlight" (p. 194). There are joyful movements of the pelvis & the color 
 purple is mentioned twice (p. 200/204). Slothrop is wearing a purple sheet.
