GRGR(24) Engine-room scene

Hi Mark,

(That was me, that surmised the package might contain Imipolex;
specifically I thought it might be the S-Geraet.)

Seeing the scene as Slothrop's fantasy seems like a really good angle to
me; his guilt over leaving Bianca to her mother's depradations rises up and
swamps him. Speaking of which, what all happened around pp. 490-494 after
the Margherita-in-the-bathroom scene? I lost a bit of the thread of events
right there and can't really figure out what was the last we saw of Bianca.
I'm going to reread that this evening; maybe it will shed some light on
this engine-room scene.
