PLNY Night 4/17?

DiFilippo's "Anne" (collected in _Lost Pages_) is one of the most vicious
stories I've read in years--and I mean that in the BEST possible way.

Combine that with Ruff (_Sewer, Gas and Electric_) and you don't even need Scott
Westerfeld to make it a must-do evening, the Village Void notwithstanding.

That said, I'm working out of the New Jersey offices on Monday, and we have
relatives in from the Left Coast, so I'm problematic but hopeful that I'll see
you all there.

Subject: PLNY Night 4/17?

According to the Village Voice listings:

PAUL DI FILIPPO+MATT RUFF+SCOTT WESTERFELD
A night of fictional extrapolation from these three multifaceted bohos
should sate the appetites of the most demanding science-fiction
enthusiasts. Scott Westerfeld's third novel blends ripping space opera
with musings on cybernetic evolution; Matt Ruff's latest book is a
picaresque tale set in the Manhattan of 2023 C.E.; and Paul Di Filippo is a
sociologically savvy satirist who steeps his novels, essays, and short
stories in sparkling wit.

Too busy to organize an outing (and unfortunately perhaps too busy to
attend),
