A rant, yes, but preachy? I don't think so. Is 99 years in
Joliet prison, preaching?  And for what it's worth, what of
Pynchon's rants, sacrimonious? 

Dylan could have, in fact he did, make tons of money,
selling songs about his love affairs and other silly things,
but Woody was his hero, not a bad a bad hero to have, he may
seem the jester, the preacher, but preachy? I don't think
so.
