So isn't it unavoidable therefore that the things we mainly do here on the
p-list--discuss the symbolism, meaning, structure, moralism, politics,
etc., of the book--may be unduely distorting the direct NONanalytic
experiencing of the book?

Disquieting thought.

Not that it would ever be possible to read in a predominantly 
nonanalytical fashion--to funnel perception solely through the right
side. (so to speak)
